I went up a 1/2 size. The fit perfect and were very comfortable.. the leather was soft and broken in… but I ended up going with a different dressier style sandal.

I’ve been buying Born shoes for years and have always been very pleased with them. The price has now increased and the quality reduced. The cheap non leather insoles stick to my feet and when walking they emit a flatulent sound as my feet releases from the insole in the arch area. I’m tired of being stared at when out in public. I will never buy any shoe without a leather insole. The style is functional and the comfort increases with wear. They fit true to size.

The toe strap is too tight. Otherwise I’d keep these. The insole was super comfy though.

So I wasn’t expecting these to have no stretch and instead have this Velcro backside. It isn’t as flattering as some of the other Born Designs so I had to return.

Nice looking and comfortable. I thought the color was true to the photos and would be very versatile. The footbed is very cushioned and I could feel my feet sink in when I walked. The reason for the 3 stars, and the only reason I didn’t keep them, is the back heel strap. It was very loose and it was impractical to pull it as tight as I needed it….even though it’s a velcro closure it would have had to overlap so much that it wouldn’t have stayed closed and the strap would have stuck out too far. It’s not that my foot didn’t fit properly – my foot fit the footbed toe to heel. Due to the loose back strap (and it was also very low on the heel) it didn’t provide any support and the shoes were more like slippers when I walked.
