I wear boots all of the time. These are by far the most comfortable boots I have purchased in the last several years. I have been wearing Fryes for a very long time and they are good but not as good as these feel this minute. They arrived today, I took them out of the box and put them on. They feel like my old friends. Like I have been wearing them for years. Oh my goodness..I love them !

I’ve been eyeing these boots for awhile and decided to order them even after reading the numerous reviews on how the heel area is too roomy. They look adorable on and I love the style with skinny jeans, HOWEVER the heel is really too roomy and my foot lifts up so much! I wear a size 8 and the shoe fits fine in the length it’s just that the heel area is so wide that I can literally take my foot out of the shoe with out unzipping it. I tried walking around my house for a while to see if that bothered me and after sometime the front on my foot was getting irritated as I was walking differently to try to keep my heel from lifting up so much. 🙁
I have tons of Born boots and shoes and usually do not have an issue with their style but sadly I had to return these ones! So bummed as they are super cute but just not worth keeping since they just don’t fit my foot well.

I got these because I wanted to see what they looked like on and couldn’t find any pictures online. I spotted them on the Born website and once I saw them available on Zappos I ordered immediately. They are a super cute, moccasin style shoe. They fit perfectly right out the box – like every other Born shoe I have purchased. My heel raised slightly when I walked but not so much that I felt like the shoe was going to come off. I am wearing a low profile sock in the picture that you can’t see from the side view.
I suffer from plantar fasciitis and Born shoes are the only boots I can tolerate walking around and standing in all day. I would have loved to keep these but am not in the market for this type of shoe right now, so I returned. Might purchase again in spring. I am a size 10 Womens with a narrow foot and high arch.

Cute boots, but impractical for cold weather. I didn’t notice how deep the openings on each side were until I tried them on. Didn’t look good with socks, and an odd height that jeans wouldn’t stay tucked into.

I wanted to love these boots! They look great! Unfortunately, heavy socks made them too tight (width) and with lighter socks they slipped off. There is nothing to keep this boot on your feet! They are low boots with a tiny zipper. I tried a larger size with heavy socks – too big! When I tried my regular Born size (8) they still slipped off. I tried everything to make these boots work, but unfortunately will return them.

The reviews told me that they ran wide in the heel, but I ordered them any way. I purchased an inexpensive heel patch at Walmart before writing this review. Worked perfect. I can’t understand why this was not tried with other buyers before returning them. I am very happy with my purchase. The heel patch cost .99, well worth it.

Oh my, I love them. As I get older (Im 50), Ive noticed that my usual size 10 is a little too snug. I also have mild bunyons. But these were like a hug for my feet. I think I’ll go put them on right now.

I think my true size is 10.5 and the 11 fit perfectly. Haven’t had a problem with the heel slipping as some people reported. They’re very comfortable.

Very comfy. I wear a 9 or sometimes 9 1/2 and the 9 1/2 fit me best. The smaller size was a bit squishy in the toes. 9 1/2 was perfect. As with other reviewers my heel does lift up a tiny bit, but despite that they are still extremely comfortable and that doesn’t seem to affect my walking at all. I have already walked quite a bit in them and I love the way they feel. They also look so cute. Go great with skinny jeans and tights. The distressed grey is a really nice neutral color and will go with everything! Very happy with these booties! Good to go right out of the box!

Very comfortable. My feet are extremely sensitive from a spine injury; I hate pressure on my toes or binding at my ankle. These fit without being loose, support the arch, and don’t rub in sensitive areas. They are cute as heck with dresses and pants. Nice summer alternative to a boot.

These are awesome boots and so comfortable and stylish! Before ordering I read the reviews that talk about your heel raising up in the back when you walk, so I ordered a pair of ankle inserts from Amazon and placed the heel support inside and it works perfectly and comfortable and it made the boots PERFECT! I love them!

These are some super cool shoes….if you have wider feet. I needed two pairs of socks and heel inserts to keep them on. Super sad since I was super excited to get them.

There are reviews about slipping in the heel. When I first put these on and walked around the house with them they did slip as other reviews said. However, after the first time I wore them this didn’t happen anymore. The leather is very soft and comfortable and I’m really glad I went for it and wore them all day the first day.

These boots are super cute and VERY comfy. They are a little loose in the heel but I have a wider foot so they actually fit me quite well. The inside sole is extremely soft and cushy too. If you have a really narrow foot, these may not be the boot for you but for me that are perfect and I plan on buying the grey ones too!

I have to admit that my expectations were not high after reading the reviews for these boots, but I really, really wanted to like them. When I first got them and tried them on, they were exactly as so many others described them – too roomy in the ankle and heel and it felt like my foot was coming out of them when I walked. However…I was determined to give them a chance so I walked around the house for a few days in them and I think that was the trick. They need to be broken in to your feet in order to feel right, at least for me. Now that I’ve had them for a few weeks, I’m happy to say that I love them and am so happy that I gave them a chance. They still feel a little big but I would still order the same size…I’m a true 8.5 and I ordered an 8.5. I looked and looked and just couldn’t find anything that matched this style so I’m glad that they ended up working out.

I wanted to love these but just like others said they were too big in the heel. They seem to be made well and were very comfortable but were at least a size too big in the heel and felt a half a size too small in the toe so I had to send them back.

I loved the look of these and when reading the reviews I was skeptical but, I really love them!!! Other reviews stated the heel slips but I only noticed to be a slight movement – nothing that can’t be fixed by a heel pad. And although I do have some slippage it’s not enough to really bother me so I’m good. I am wondering if the heel problem is for women with slender feet – just a thought. I own many styles of Born shoes and boots and I love this brand!! (So maybe I’m biased ?)

The fit was true to size and had room in the toe box. I did put in my own insoles as I have plantar fasciitis but there was enough room. I also have a hammer toe and the shoe did not rub and left enough room for that issue. They look cute and casual and ready to go.

I ordered a size 11, with thick socks it fits my 10.5 foot perfect & just a little big on my foot that is a 10. I can never find a size 10.5, the 11 works great, so comfy & cute!

So….do wearers not realize that criss cross leather strands can be adjusted?? If heel slips, tighten the leather strap. Perfect!

Love these boots! Was a bit concerned initially as they seemed a bit snug but I hadn’t factored in my winter socks. Wore them all day long running errands and shopping with no discomfort or awkwardness whatsoever. I genuinely hope these last me a long time as they will definitely be my go to boots for various occasions!
